Dunfermline drawn away to Boreham Wood

The draw for the next round of the Irn Bru Cup was made at Gretna Green at lunchtime

Dundee United v Alloa Athletic
Dundee Colts v Motherwell Colts
East Kilbride v Edinburgh City
St Mirren Colts v Hamilton Colts
Ross County v Raith Rovers

Boreham Wood FC play in the National League, the fifth tier of English football. Their home ground is Meadow Park, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire WD6 5 AL, it has a capacity of 4500 and is used for the home games of Arsenal Ladies and youth teams and Watford Reserves.

Borehamwood is a commuter town inside the M25 near St Albans. Pars manager Allan Johnston commented:-

“It is a different fixture and better than playing a team from your own league or even a Colt team. I would prefer to play Boreham Wood than an under 21 team, I just don’t understand why these teams come in at later rounds. I suppose that is for other people to decide.”


The Second Round ties will be played on the weekend of 8/9 September.
