Mrs Helen McCathie

Our club was saddened to hear of the death of Mrs Helen McCathie, Norrie’s mother.

Chairman, Ross McArthur stated “on behalf of the whole Pars Family our sincere condolences go to the wider McCathie Family at this very sad time. Mrs McCathie had been due to be our guest at the opening of the new Remembrance Plaque, in our memorial garden just before Christmas, but unfortunately was not well enough to attend on the day.

However, she had been at East End Park regularly since big Norrie’s untimely death, and I had the great pleasure of her company at our SPIRIT match against Cowdenbeath a couple of years ago. She was genuinely touched by the whole day, particularly the fans card display in the Norrie stand. I am glad that she got to see, albeit for the final time, what Norrie meant to us all”.

Helen`s funeral will take place on Friday 16 March at Warriston Crematorium.
